A sitting MP from Western Kenya is a worried man after he took money from a big man with a promise to shift camps. Insiders say he took almost Sh15 million promising to shift sides but he didn't fulfil his bargain and is now worried as he knows pressure will follow wherever he goes, without respite. A close ally was sent to him last week saying he must urgently return the money "or he will see fire". He has gone to ground but surfaced last Thursday when he emerged to attack opponents in the area. The vocal MP is also staring at losses in politics as the big man has sworn to teach him a lesson.

A senior politician is now anxious after his political godfather left a political formation where he had been seconded for a serious position just months ago. The man who got the lucrative post because of his godfather, who has now severed links with the leadership of the formation, is now contemplating whether to follow his boss or stick with his new political home. Sources at the coalition intimated to Corridors of Power that his position was under review last weekend, with stalwarts claiming they can’t afford throwing such a big position to an ungrateful camp as the clock ticks down to the election.

A city politician is among those on the radar of security agencies after he suddenly accessed a dead man’s bank account and withdrew millions of shillings for his personal use. The controversial politician who has tried in vain to be elected is said to have sworn affidavits allowing him to access millions of shillings in an account that was run jointly by a dead suspect and his partner who is out of the country. The agencies believe the politician is using forged documents and fake means to access the money for his own use and the truth will out. The man could be operating with cohorts in the racket. The money in the account runs into billions.
