  • The MP threatening minority communities with a gun if not elected.
  • The disgruntled lady who has been spearheading campaigns for her husband

A top government official is sulking and threatening to cross over to a rival outfit, if he is not made the running mate of a leading presidential aspirant. The official is said to be whining that he was prevailed upon not to resign from his high-profile job and assured he would be thrust to a higher position. However, it now appears he has been relegated as big boys jostle for his priced ambition. The man was heard murmuring that he was duped into forfeiting his dream of toppling his political nemesis and now threatens to actualise the quest by sponsoring a rival candidate.

Cutthroat competition has pushed some politicians to the edge. Some have now resorted to doing the unthinkable. Take for instance a first-term MP from the Rift Valley. The man threatened minority communities in his county with a gun, if they do not elect him. The lawmaker, who gave many promises to win the seat, has failed to address a major problem that is rife in his constituency and now demands unequivocal support as his political career plummets. The MP is under siege as well-oiled and charismatic competitors eat his lunch and political bastion.

Is a senior politician on a revenge mission after realising his political ambition is impossible with a youthful aspirant on the ballot? Well, a senior politician in Nairobi, who is facing stiff competition from a youthful aspirant, has resorted to dirty tricks in desperate attempts to frustrate the rival, whom he shares the same political formation. Corridors has learnt that the senior politician is behind the decision by an advertisement agency to pull down a billboard that was strategically placed next to a politically symbolic building. It remains to be seen how the battle between the two will play out.

The wife of a politician from Western Kenya is now blaming her husband for failing to read political signs, accusing him of getting into the same trap every election cycle. The disgruntled woman, who has been spearheading campaigns for her husband ahead of the nomination, is afraid that her man will again run as an independent candidate for a top county seat after the dominant party in the area showed clear signs of favouring a rival at the expense of the man who was lured back into the party with a promise of free and fair nominations. After being shortchanged in the last election, he was awarded a parastatal job, luring him back into the party that is now the reason for his current headache.
