An aspirant for a big job at the Coast has 'acquired' most of the so-called influential bloggers to push his narrative and credentials. The move is said to have cost him an arm and a leg and the bloggers, some of whose behaviour borders on reckless, are laughing all the way to the bank. But why is the man bankrolling online war? It appears a party leader still has a long way to go in rallying his troops to back one candidate in a highly competitive county race. The man was taken aback after one of the political bigwigs from the county where he was seeking to call to a truce refused to play to the gallery. The said politician declined to shake hands with a competitor. They had been talking to him on how to go about nominations for the coveted seat. The man told his boss flatly that he had accepted his call and the handshake would add no value to him, especially after ceding ground.
