The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has assured Kenyans of their preparedness to administer three more national examinations.

This year, Grade Six pupils will sit their national examinations alongside the 2022 KCPE and KCSE exams.

KNEC chairman John Onsati said KNEC has put in place measures to sustain the administration of the exam.

"We have been reviewing our process to improve the administration of nation examinations," he said.

"I wish to assure Education CS George Magoha and Kenyans that KNEC will deliver," he added.

The Council said some 1.2 million students who sat their KCPE will be awarded based on merit.

KNEC CEO David Njengere said the council carefully processed their marks.

Njengere spoke during the release of 2021 KCPE results at KNEC offices.

"KNEC processed results observing due diligence to ensure each candidate will be awarded their results," Njengere said.

Njengere thanked all field officers who rendered services during the examinations.

KNEC engaged 5,567 examiners for the marking of answer scripts.
