Former Kakamega County Senator Boni Khalwale's daughter was among the 1,214,301 candidates who sat for the 2021 KCPE exams.
Hours after the official release of the KCPE exam results, Khalwale took to Twitter to share a message of gratitude following her daughter's impressive performance.
"My family and I, in 1000 special ways thank God, the teaching and non-teaching staff of Malinya Primary School and Kakamega Hill Junior School for the 402!" the senator tweeted.

According to results shared by Khalwale, Melissa Khamwenyi Khalwale of index number 37615027005 scored as follows: "ENG 86-A, KIS 83-A, MAT- 83-A, SCI 66-B, SSR 84-A". The total score adds up to 402 marks.
In the results released, the first student, Bruce Mackenzie scored 428
followed closely by Ashley Momanyi who scored 427.
Candidates can check their results by sending their index number, followed by the initials KCPE (in capital letters) to 20076 in order to access the results for Ksh25 across all network platforms.
