• Ruto thanked Narok Woman Rep Soipan Tuya, and Narok West MP Gabriel Tongoyo for dropping their bids, and unanimously agreed to support Ntutu for the UDA ticket.
• Governor Tunai endorsed Ntutu as his successor.
Deputy President William Ruto was on Tuesday amused by the huge crowd that turned up for the UDA event in Olopiril, Narok West sub-county.
UDA governor seat candidate Former CAS Patrick Ole Ntuntu was launching his governor seat bid in the event.
Ruto, his fellow Kenya Kwanza Alliance principals Musalia Mudavadi of ANC and Ford Kenya's Moses Wetang'ula graced the event.
Addressing hundreds of locals, Ruto said he has never seen such kind of a crowd from the area in the past political rallies.
“Lakini leo, kweli mumenitisha. Sijawahi kuja mkutano mkubwa kama hii katika Narok County. Mimi nimeamini leo kwamba Narok ni hustler nation. Nimeamini leo Narok ni UDA. Naona kweli kimeumana. Wale wa kuzimia watazimia safari hii,” Ruto said.
Translates to: "You have shocked me today. I have never attended a huge meeting like this in Narok. I have now accepted that indeed Narok is a hustler nation. Narok is UDA. I can see Azimio is doomed".
This is what we call in the Hustler Nation Exuberant. Vivacious. Swanky. Rousing. Adjectives in isolation cannot aptly describe the enduring love the people of Maa in Narok have for Deputy President William Ruto. Governor Samuel Ole Tunai endorsed Ntutu as his successor.
The DP used the rally to thank Narok Woman Representative Soipan Tuyaand Narok West MP Gabriel Tongoyo for dropping their bids and unanimously agreed to support Ntutu for the UDA ticket.
He said when the Kenya Kwanza Alliance takes over the presidency, it will ensure that Sh100 billion is set aside for housing programs, agro-processing, value addition, and manufacturing, which will lead to the creation of job opportunities for the youth across the country.
