Deputy President William Ruto has suffered a blow yet again after three MPs from Turkana county ditched him for the Jubilee party.

Jubilee director of elections and Kieni MP Kanini Kega welcomed MPs Joyce Emanikor (County MP), James Lomenen (Turkana South) and Lokiru Ali Mohammed (Turkana East) to the ruling party on Friday.

In a statement, the MP said he is confident that the Azimio la Umoja would win the presidency.

“Turkana is Jubilee Zone!....they have decamped from UDA! We are winning this thing!” Kanini said after sharing images of the MP.

The ruling Jubilee has been hunting down for influential leaders in a bid to woo them to their camp.

Earlier in the day, musician Bahati was received to the Jubilee party where he announced he will be vying for the Mathare parliamentary seat.

Jubilee party is currently receiving applications for those seeking its tickets to contest for various elective seats.

Former Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) President Richard Ngatia on Friday presented his nomination papers to the Jubilee party.

He is seeking the Nairobi governor seat.

“We are clean, we are ready, we are Nairobi. It is Ngatia Richard, it is Jubilee, it is Azimio. Today I presented my Nomination Papers at Jubilee Party Headquarters. Asante Nairobi.,” Ngatia said.
