KCPE exams will start on Monday, March 7 and end on March 9.

KCPE rehearsals kicked off on Friday across the country ahead of the start of the examinations on Monday, March 7th, 2022. 

Contrary to tradition, candidates are under instruction to carry their examination material in transparent carriers to discourage cheating.

A total of  1,225,693 candidates are expected to sit the exam across 28,248 examination centres countrywide.

The number is 34,085 more than the 1,191,608 candidates who sat the 2020 exam last year. This translates to a 2.86 per cent increase.

More male candidates (55 per cent) will sit the exam compared to 45 per cent girls.
