Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has arrived at the Kasaranai Gymnasium ahead of the ODM party NDC.
Raila was treated to a heroic welcome with party delegates giving him a standing ovation as he made a grand walk to the venue.
His campaign signature song Leo ni Leo by Emmanuel Musindi was the icing on the cake to his reception.
The opposition chief was flanked by ODM party senior leaders including his deputies Governor Ali Hassan Joho and his counterpart Wycliffe Oparanya.
Several Members of Parliament, MCAs and political aspirants are present.
Raila is expected to be fully endorsed by delegates as the presidential candidate for the party.
He is later expected to meet with President Uhuru Kenyatta's Jubilee NDC where he will also be endorsed as Azimio La Umoja presidential candidate.
Fringe parties allied to Azimio La Umoja like PNU, NARC, Muungano parties have already endorsed to back Raila's bid.
