A man in the sprawling Karagita estate in Naivasha stabbed his wife to death, yesterday morning.
The flower farm worker stabbed his wife five times following allegations of unfaithfulness in their one-year marriage.
The wife who also works in one of the farms died minutes later.
The man was also admitted at Naivasha subcounty hospital after residents beat him up following the incident.
The two who had separated for one month and had met at a relative’s house in estate to resolve their differences when the man turned on the wife.
According to a witness Carol Njeri, the man had accused his wife of being involved in extra-marital affairs with her colleagues.
She added that the woman fell out with her former husband over a similar incident where she was stabbed and left for the dead.
“Her history dates back to two years ago when she was stabbed several times for infidelity and the suspect(first husband) went into hiding,” she said.
Wanjiru said the woman got remarried last year but continued with her behaviour leading to the second attack that left her dead.
“The man arrived on Thursday evening and an argument ensued on Friday morning leading to her death,” she said.
Naivasha OCPD Samuel Waweru confirmed the incident adding that the suspect was in critical condition after he was beaten by residents.
“The body of the woman has been taken to the local mortuary while our officers have opened an investigation into the incident,” he said.
The incident comes barely two weeks after a woman in Gilgil town killed her three sons before taking her own life following a fallout with the husband.
