Cornelius Simiyu, 35, was among 40 workers at the site when he slid and fell on Tuesday at about 11 am.

Simiyu, a father of two, was to earn Sh1,000 for the day.

Works at the site stalled amid investigations into the tragedy.

The body was moved to the mortuary.

Police said they will involve officials from the National Construction Authority in the probe.

Elsewhere, police are investigating an incident in which a body of a man was found hanging on a tree at the City Park Forest in Parklands, Nairobi.

Those at the park told police they spotted the body hanging on the tree after a suspected suicide.

The man did not have any identification documents. The body was moved to the mortuary.

Nairobi deputy police boss James Mugera said they are investigating the case to establish if it was out of suicide or the man was killed and hanged there.

“We do not know if it was suicide or he was killed and left there. Investigations are ongoing to establish that,” he said.

Meanwhile, a suspect who had broken into a house in Mowlem area, Dandora, died after he jumped off the second floor as he tried to escape.

And a suspected thug was Tuesday night shot dead in a botched robbery in Pangani, Nairobi. A gun was found on him.

Police have linked the deceased man to a gang operating in Mathare popularly known as the Yeyoye gang. The gang has been linked to many robbery incidents in the area.

The body was moved to the mortuary. A Webley pistol with four bullets was recovered.
