One dead after suspected bandits attack Laikipia Conservancy

Suspected bandits on Saturday morning attacked private security rangers attached to Laikipia Nature and Conservancy killing one and leaving another injured.

The over ten armed attackers shot at the two who were driving in one of the vehicles killing him on the spot.

The deceased identified as Modestus Juma was shot on the head and died on the spot.

His colleague Patrick Loranu suffered bullet injuries and is admitted at Sipili health center.

The incident comes barely two days after suspected bandits killed a police officer at Mlima Njangili, an incident that also saw his colleague injured and airlifted to a hospital in NairobiIn the last eight months, so far 19 people have been killed among them seven police officers.
