Truck drivers went on strike on Monday to protest against the mandatory Covid-19 testing at the Malaba border.

The tests cost $30 (Sh3,394) and drivers are required to get tested every 14 days.

The tests are mandatory, including for drivers with documents showing they have been tested in Kenya. 

The truckers claim a plot by Ugandan authorities to make money.
