A firm involved in motor vehicle inspection has been dealt a staggering blow. The firm operating outside Kenya has been blacklisted from doing business in the country for three years. It is reported to have used forged documents to bid for a lucrative tender at the Kenya Bureau of Standards. The decision of the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority has now been rubber-stamped by Treasury under CS Ukur Yatani (pictured). Sources whisper to Corridors DCI involved Interpol to unearth the firm’s fraudulent deals. The probe involved searching for the firm's physical offices in vehicle manufacturing hubs like Japan.

The governor of a populous county could be staring at MCAs' wrath over 'unkept' Christmas gift promises. It appears there is more than meets the eye in the planned Luhya meeting at the Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega town on December 31. Corridors is told some politicians may not be genuine in opposing the meeting by Cotu secretary general Francis Atwoli. A source says one MP is fearful his main opponent in 2022 will be endorsed at the meeting. A lawmaker from a Central county is the talk of the town because of her habit of issuing threats. The first-term MP is said to be against any reports that highlight her diminishing fortunes in her county and those that question her management style. Recently, the lawmaker called a journalist and threatened physical harm for penning a piece that displeased her. The question those aware of the threats are asking is why the legislator is avoiding the official channels at her disposal if her concerns are genuine.
