(PHOTOS) Nairobi rains leave Kenyans wet amid travels

Heavy rains have left many Nairobians wet as they went about their duties in the Central Business District.

A spot check by the Star on Tuesday indicated that many Nairobians were travelling upcountry to celebrate the festive season.

Many could be seen with umbrellas while others just walked majestically as the rains pounded the city.

With bags on their backs, some took to their heels as they looked for shelters in buildings around.

Most of them were rushing to Machakos Bus Station to board a bus to their respective destinations.

On Monday,vthe Kenya Meteorological Department said rainfall is likely to continue over few to several places across the country.

They said the rains will be witnessed in the Highlands East of the Rift Valley, the South-eastern lowlands, the Coast, the Highlands West of the Rift Valley, Lake Victoria Basin, Central and South Rift Valley, North-eastern.
