ODM leader Raila Odinga arrives at Moi International Stadium Kasarani for inspection tour on Thursday December 9, 2021 ahead of Azimio La Umoja conference on Friday.

Supporters of ODM party leader Raila Odinga have started streaming into Nairobi across the country for Azimio La Umoja Convention that will take place on Friday at the Kasarani Stadium.

On Thursday, six busses ferrying supporters from Bungoma Country were witnessed in Thika Highway, heading to Kasarani.

They were facilitated by Sirisia ODM parliamentary aspirant, who is also an ally to Raila, Moses Nandalwe, well known as Mr Moneybags.

The supporters were drawn from across the nine constituencies in Bungoma County.

Nandalwe was leading it in his traditional style of affluence among other Bungoma youthful political leaders, and political strategists.

Addressing journalists in Kasarani grounds, Nandalwe said that:

“The African leader that the world is waiting for is Raila Amolo Odinga. A win for Raila is a win for Africa and the World. This is the president the world is waiting for,” Nandalwe said.

He mobilized the youth who will attend the function to be seated by 7 am, adding that the day will be historic.

At the same time, the aspirant added that the unity of Mt Kenya region and Nyanza is the unity that they have been waiting for and the ultimate goal is here.

Nandalwe, who is the personal assistant of Tana River Governor Dhadho Godhana has been drumming up support for Raila Odinga.

Earlier on Thursday, Raila inspected the stadium alongside other party leaders.

The event is expected to attract hundreds of people, including some of the Jubilee Party members who have been attending Raila's functions.

ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi said that he will not be part of the leaders at the function, saying that Raila is one of his competitors in the top seat and will not sound good sharing the same stage.
