The Inspector-General of Police Hilary Mutyambai has through a tweet on Monday confirmed the postponement of the #EngageTheIG to a later date.

Mutyambai said that the online session had to be pushed due to a national engagement.

The weekly online session allows Kenyans, using the hashtag #EngageTheIG to ask questions directed to the police boss, which he gets to respond to personally.

The one-hour session that happens through Twitter live chat every Monday from 11 am to 12 noon is set for netizens to engage with him.

This, the IG said aims to ensure the Police Service is efficient, effective and responsive.
