Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka and ODM presidential hopeful Jimmy Wanjigi on Sunday attended a service at AIC Daystar in Mavoko, Machakos county.

Transport CAS Wavinya Ndeti was also in attendance.

A section of Ukambani MCAs accompanied Kalonzo, while Wanjigi was accompanied by his wife, Mwende.

Kalonzo's visit to Machakos comes after a weekend tour of Western with his fellow OKA principals - ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi and Ford Kenya’s Moses Wetang'ula.

One Kenya Alliance principals took campaigns to Trans-Nzoia County on Saturday assuring Kenyans that they would prioritize the economy and fighting corruption.

They promised Kenyans a solution to the ailing economy saying they are ready to fix it if one of them is elected as president in 2022.

Wanjigi said that he will take his quest for the Orange presidential ticket to the wire as Kalonzo warned him to prepare for a stormy ride ahead.

Kalonzo recounted his dramatic parting of ways with Odinga in 2007 and warned Wanjigi not to expect smooth nominations.

But Wanjigi stood his ground and said that he would run for the ticket since "the party does not belong to anybody. It does not belong to any individual, and we must have a fair and democratic contest."

Wanjigi reiterated his demand to party leader Raila Odinga to open up the party for free and fair nominations.
