Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro has castigated ODM for allegedly transporting its supporters from the Nyanza region to attend ODM party leader Raila Odinga’s meetings in Nyeri.

Nyoro said that while on his way to Nairobi on Friday, he came across a number of school buses from Nyanza in the area.

“I saw the one for Rarieda High school, the other one was Kisumu High, the other one was Kondele boys. Others were Homa Bay girls, school from Siaya county, and I wondered if there were school drama festivals or school games happening in our area… I was told that the people were attending Raila’s meeting,” Nyoro said.

He questioned the need to transport people from the other part of the country to attend the meeting yet the meeting was meant for the locals.

“This proves that these people have realized that they do not have supporters in Mt Kenya region, that is why they are coming with their supporters.”

He continued that, “If you were to ask one of the supporters greetings in Kikuyu language, they won’t answer you because they have just been brought to clap and cheer.”

Nyoro, who is a close ally to Deputy President William Ruto, said that the hustler nation will continue to campaign peacefully across the country.

Raila started his two-day campaign in Mt Kenya on Friday and was received by a number of Kikuyu elders at the Kabiruini Grounds, Nyeri Town.

Party of National Unity (PNU) hosted a series of special interest caucus with ODM leader ahead of Nyeri edition of Azimio La Umoja Rally on Saturday.

The events are the climax of intense efforts by the opposition chief to cultivate the Mountain region in the last few months where PNU has conspicuously played the official chaperon of honor.

Raila has aggressively made inroads to the Mount Kenya region will attend the event that will bring together cultural leaders from Kikuyu and Luo communities.
