A renowned politician has slowly but quietly fizzled out from the national limelight. In fact, even some big names in social circles he was using to market his bid for a political seat have moved on and are now back to doing the 'controversial' things they are known for. It’s not clear if the man has realised there would be no return on capital he has been investing. Those in the know now say the man is eying City Hall (pictured). He wants to ask his party leader to allow him contest for governor. However, those in the know say he has burnt his bridges and would no longer be entertained today or in the future.

A MCA from a county assembly dominated by Jubilee is now licking his wounds after he reported his colleagues to an investigative agency for allegedly colluding with contractors to steal county cash. The colleagues, who are said to be connected to the who is who in the county, have manoeuvred yo turn the case against him. They have also locked him out of crucial trips and other favours as part of their plot to discipline him. This has left the second-term ward rep dead broke. He’s now considering withdrawing the dossier he submitted to the agency as part of the plan to reconcile with his colleagues.

Still on matters graft, A legislator from Nairobi county is on the radar of detectives over graft allegations leveled against him by residents. Officers are trying to establish whether the MP awarded a close relative a contract to construct a building at at learning institution. The MP is accused of awarding the job to a family member and at an inflated price. Ordinarily, a political player would want to compete or abandon a competition depending on the kind of competition he or she faces. But this is not the case for a flamboyant senator hopeful in one of the counties in Western. The man, Corridors is told, is mulling relocating his base to Nairobi on grounds he has a lot of money which he cannot exhaust in the constituency. There has however been a lot of speculation about his sources of income. His critics are however of the view that the fellow could be fearing a backlash as the region’s leanings has not favoured his community in the past elections.
