Former National Council of Churches of Kenya chairman Rev Dr Charles Kibicho is dead.
His death was announced by NCCK General Secretary, Reverend Canon Chris Kinyanjui on Wednesday.
"We join his dear wife, Ruth, their three children, and the wider family, in mourning this dedicated servant of God who has contributed immensely to the growth and wellbeing of the church fraternity in Kenya," he said.
"We are continually praying that God will console and comfort the entire family, the PCEA, and entire nation."
According to Kinyanjui, details of Kibicho's memorial service and burial will be communicated at a later date.
He died on Tuesday, September 21, 2021.
Rev Kibicho served as NCCK chairman between 2008 and 2012.
He has been a member of the NCCK Executive Committee, and the Chairperson of the Board of Management of the Christian Students Leadership Center.
At the time of his passing, Kibicho was a lecturer at Presbyterian University of East Africa.
