Mombasa Chief Magistrate Edna Nyaloti has been ordered to postpone MP Aisha Jumwa's case until the Willie Kimani murder case is finalised at the end of this month.
In the case, Jumwa has been charged alongside six others with forgery, money laundering and procurement fraud relating to the Sh19 million CDF case.
In an order issued by Justice Jessie Lessit, Nyaloti has been ordered to take out the matter since Lawyer Cliff Ombeta is in both cases.
Last week, Nyaloti had accused Ombeta of delaying the matter before her court by representing Jumwa knowing fully well that he was held up in the Willie Kimani case before Justice Lessit.
However, the order issued on Thursday says that the Willie Kimani case takes priority over Jumwa's case that's before Nyaloti.
"An order is hereby issued by this court that the deputy registrar shall serve Nyaloti informing her that this court is under instructions from the Chief Justice and has leave from President of Court of Appeal to hear this case day to day from September 6 to 30 until finalization " the order reads.
Jumwa is represented in the case by lawyers Cliff Ombeta, Danstan Omari and Shadrack Wambui.
