MP Osotsi condemns hooliganism at public forums in Vihiga

ANC nominated MP Godfrey Osotsi has accused some politicians in Vihiga county of inciting youth to heckle and cause chaos during opponents’ events.

Osotsi condemned an incident where Governor Wilber Ottichilo was heckled at the funeral of politician Macleans Sloya in Mbale location, Vihiga subcounty.

Osotsi, who spoke on Sunday at a church fundraiser in Gisambai ward in Hamisi subcounty, said everybody has a constitutional right to sell their political ideologies to the masses without intimidation.

He appealed to those aspiring for various elective posts to be peaceful in their campaigns.

The MP said politicians should use well-formulated manifestos instead of hiring goons to harass opponents.

He added that the people are free to elect leaders they want based on the aspirant’s track record and agenda.
