The lawmakers said they will start the purge at the grassroots where they will replace ineffective leaders before escalating it to the national office.

Kanini said they will do everything to ensure that they get rid of leaders responsible for the poor performance of the party.

"There are nine ways off a skinning a cat, you can start from the bottom or the top but this time around the cat will be finally skinned," Njomo said.

The Kiambu Town MP said the clean up will start from the grassroots to weed out those who have betrayed the cause.

The exercise they said will end by August 30.

"After that, we can ask the party leader to convene the National Delegates Council and the delegates will decide what to do with the party leadership," Njomo said.
