Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga is mourning the death of former MP Timothy Bosire's wife, Jane Bosire.
In a statement, the ODM leader prayed for God's comfort to the family of the former Kitutu Masaba legislator's family.
"Mama Ida and I send our deepest and heartfelt condolences to Hon. @TimothyMEBosire following the passing of your dear wife Jane Bosire. As a family and as ODM we stand with you during this difficult time. You are in our prayers. We ask God the Almighty to grant you fortitude," Raila said.
Mama Jane died on Tuesday night at the Nairobi Hospital while she was undergoing treatment.
Bosire is a close friend of the former PM and also serves as the Orange party's national treasurer.
News of her death was first announced on Wednesday morning by the ODM party.
"We are saddened by the news of the death of Ma’am Jane Bosire, wife to our National Treasurer Hon. @TimothyMEBosire last night at a Nairobi Hospital. As a party, we join in the pain that out National Treasurer and family are going through now and pray to God to grant them fortitude," ODM said.
