Kenya on Thursday recorded 566 new cases of Covid-19, bringing the country's case load to 187,525, Health CS Mutahi Kagwe has said.
The CS in a statement confirmed that this was from a sample size of 5,344 recording a positivity rate of 10.6 per cent.
The cumulative tests stand at 2,001,786.
The country's fatalities have risen to 3,716 after another 11 patients succumbed to the disease.
Kagwe said that there are 1,136 patients currently admitted in various hospitals across the country. Another, 4,825 patients are on the home-based care programme.
A total of 116 patients are in ICU, out of which 30 are on ventilatory support.
Also, 185 patients are separately on supplementary oxygen, out of which 159 are in general wards and 26 in the HDU.
Meanwhile, 1,934 patients have recovered from the disease out of which 1,693 were from the Homebased care program while 241 were discharged from various health facilities.
Kenya's recoveries now stand at 176,456.
The CS said 1,524,555 vaccines have so far been administered countrywide.
