From a sample size of 7,753 tested in the last 24 hours, Kenya has recorded 1,041 new Covid-19 cases, with the positivity rate standing at 13.4 per cent.
Of the cases, 1,009 are Kenyans while 32 are foreigners, with 629 being males and 412 being females.
Age-wise, the youngest is a two-year-old child while the oldest is 93 years old.
This now brings the total number of positive cases to 150,260, and the cumulative tests so far conducted are 1,592, 484.
In terms of recovery, 343 patients have recovered from the disease, with 217 from home-based and isolation care while 126 are from various health facilities.
The total number of recoveries in the country stands at 100,980, with 73,331 from home-based and isolation care while 27,649 are from various health facilities.
The country has lost 19 patients to the disease, bringing the total number of fatalities to 2,443.
One death occurred in the last 24 hours, nine on diverse dates within the last one month, while nine are late deaths conducted from facility record audits.
A total of 1,588 patients are currently admitted to various health facilities countrywide, while 5,757 patients are on home-based isolation and care.
260 patients are in ICU, 47 of whom are on ventilatory support and 164 on supplemental oxygen. 49 patients are on observation.
Another 246 patients are separately on supplementary oxygen with 234 of them in general wards and 12 in the High Dependency Unit.
Vaccination wise, on Thursday, 28,234 people were vaccinated countrywide, pushing the total number of those vaccinated in the country to 651,650.
From this number, 365,178 are those aged 58 years and above, 136,084 are health care workers, 52,602 are security officers and 97,786 are teachers.
Men constitute 56 per cent while women are 44 per cent.
In terms of distribution of positive cases per county, Nairobi leads with 323, Trans Nzoia 71, Mombasa 62, Nakuru 44, Uasin Gishu and Nyamira with 43 cases each, Siaya 41, Kitui 40, Kisumu 36, Nyeri 32, Busia 31, Kiambu 28, Meru 27, Kakamega 25, Kilifi 22, Turkana 18, Nyandarua 17, Machakos and Garissa with 16 each,.
Others are Tharaka Nithi with 15, Bungoma 12, Kajiado and Nandi with 10 cases each.
Makueni has nine cases, Homa Bay eight, Kericho seven, Mandera six, Laikipia and Murang'a five cases each, Taita Taveta three, Isiolo, Kisii, Marsabit, Migori, Narok, Vihiga and West Pokot have two cases each, while Elgeyo Marakwet and Kwale have one case each.
