Court issues orders exempting lawyers from curfew

Lawyers have been exempted from the curfew and restriction of movement orders issued by the state last month.

Justice Antony Mrima has barred the police from interfering or arresting lawyers travelling to and from official business during curfew hours or outside the lockdown areas.

"Pending inter-partes hearing of this application a declaratory order be and is hereby issued declaring advocates and IPOA exempt from the curfew hours and restriction of movement contained in the public order 2021," the order reads
