533 recoveries recorded as 18 succumb to Covid-19

Kenya on Sunday recorded 911 new Covid-19 cases, from a sample size of 6,045 tested in the last 24 hours, with the positivity rate now at 15.1%. 

From these cases, 880 are Kenyans while 31 are foreigners, with 503 being males and 408 being females.

Age wise, the youngest is a two-year-old baby while the oldest is 98 years old.

The country has now recorded a total number 138,988 confirmed cases, with the cumulative tests now standing at 1,517,637.

In terms of recoveries, 533 patients have recovered from the disease, with 420 from the home based and isolation care while 113 are from different medical facilities.

This now brings the total number of recoveries to 94,183.

Unfortunately, 18 deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours, none in the last 24 hours but 11 in the last one month while 7 are late death reports from facility record audits that occurred on diverse dates.

This now pushes the cumulative fatalities to 2,224.
