Former minister Joe Nyaga is dead

He was a member of Orange Democratic Movement's 'Pentagon' in the lead up to the 2007 general election.

Former Cooperative Development Minister Joe Nyaga is dead.

Nyaga is said to have died while receiving treatment on Friday at the Nairobi Hospital.

His family who confirmed the death said he died from Covid-19.

 
 
 
 
 

Nyaga 72, was a member of the then governing Kenya African National Union and a minister in President Daniel Moi's office.

He left the ministry and the party in the run-up to 2002 general election.

Nyaga was a member of Orange Democratic Movement's Pentagon in the lead up to 2007 election.

He also served as Moi's ambassador to Brussels (Belgium) before being appointed the Chief Executive Officer of Kenya Airways.

From 2013 to 2017, Nyaga was in charge of Northern Corridor Integration Projects & resigned to contest during the 2017 Presidential Elections.
