You will now be able to post articles on Twitter without worrying that your spur-of-the-moment reactions will come back to haunt you.

Unlike tweets, Twitter’s new 'Fleets' can’t receive Likes, Replies or Retweets. And they’ll disappear entirely after 24 hours.

"Fleets are a new, low pressure way to share text, photos, videos, and tweets," Twitter said on Tuesday.

Once you see your profile image in the new bar across the top of your app’s Home timeline, tap it to get started.

"That thing you didn’t tweet but wanted to but didn’t but got so close but then were like nah. We have a place for that now—Fleets! " they said.

"Some of you tell us that Tweeting is uncomfortable because it feels so public, so permanent, and like there's so much pressure to rack up Retweets and Likes," Twitter said.
