14 more deaths as Kenya registers 836 new Covid cases

Kenya's Covid-19 fatalities rose to 934 on Tuesday after 14 more patients succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours.

Another 836 new Covid-19 cases were also recorded, bringing the total to 50,833.

This was out of 4,076 samples tested, bringing the cumulative number of infections to 666,122.

 
 
 
 

From the cases, 822 are Kenyans while 14 are foreigners.

In terms of gender, 618 are males while 218 are foreigners. The youngest is a 4-year-old-child while the oldest is 89 years.

Currently there are 1,150 patients admitted in various health facilities countrywide while 3,961 are on Home-Based-Care program

On a positive note, today 403 patients have recovered from the disease with 250 from the Home Based Care program while 153 have been discharged from various hospitals. Total recoveries now stand at 34,832.

Another 14 patients have succumbed to the disease bringing the total fatalities to 934.

Distribution of the cases by counties is as follows; Nairobi 556, Uasin Gishu 68, Mombasa 62, Kiambu 32, Nakuru 24, Laikipia 22, Kajiado 12, Machakos eight, Kisumu seven, Murang'a seven, Meru six.

Others are Nandi five, Trans Nzoia four, Turkana four, Elgeyo Marakwet and Kisii three, Baringo, Narok and Wajir two cases each, Nyandarua, Samburu, Kilifi, Siaya and Homabay one case each.
