Suspect arrested in Gatundu South for making fake land Title Deeds

Ng'ang'a Kanina is in police custody pending arraignment for making fake Title Deeds.

DCI sleuths based in Gatundu South have arrested a suspect for the offence of making public documents without authority namely land Title Deeds.

Ng'ang'a Kanina was arrested on Sunday where 47 fake signed Title Deeds registered under different names were recovered from his house.

The signed Title Deeds had purported to have been issued by the Land Registrars from Kiambu and Machakos counties.

 

The detectives said that the fake land Title Deeds are suspected to be used by fraudsters to obtain money by false pretences from unsuspecting members of the public.

 All the title deeds have been retained as exhibits pending further investigations.

Recently, DCI detectives arrested a suspect behind a forgery in the Nairobi CBD.

Joel Machoka Muchoma was arrested by DCI sleuths based in Kamukunji at his Stall no. 22, Mfangano Trade Centre for forgery and making of documents without authority.

The raid led to the recovery of 13 different ink stamps, stamp seals, two computers and several suspected forged documents.
