Gmail, google drive hit by global disruption

Gmail, Google drive was on Thursday morning hit by service interruptions globally.

Many users across the world reported the widespread issues for hours.

The issues began shortly after 6.30 am, but it isn't clear what caused them or when they will be resolved.

 

Twitter was abuzz with users complaining about the platform though there are still some who have said the platform is working for them.

Some said they were seeing a 'Oops something went wrong' message.

Others received a pop-up box which read 'Message could not be sent. Check your network and try again'.  

In a statement on its dashboard made at 8.20 am, Google said: "Our team is continuing to investigate this issue. We will provide an update by 9.21 am with more information about this problem. Thank you for your patience."
