Police in Matungulu have launched investigations after a couple allegedly committed suicide at their home in Kaumoni Village, Nguluni location in Machakos county on Sunday evening.
The bodies of one Dennis Pius aged 28 and a young lady Susan Ndeto aged 19 were found hanging with ropes on their necks by their parents who reported the matter to the police.
The youthful couple allegedly commited suicide on Sunday at around 2pm where the woman's body was found naked.
Kithuani Assistant chief Serah Mutua said the reason of them committing suicide is yet to be known but both were found dead with ropes in their neck the girl kneeling and the man almost standing.
The assistant chief added that the two love birds had returned home from Kayole in Nairobi on Friday were they had been staying at the man's house in Kaumoni .
"The couple came home on Friday evening from Nairobi Kayole area when today in the morning they were seen by villagers but seemed yo be okay", she said.
According to the police, the girl's mother said she received a call from her daughter at around 11.00am on Sunday but later their phones went off which forced the mother to travel from Kayole and found the two dead inside the man's bedroom.
They did not leave behind any suicide note.Its said that the two had lied to the girls' mother that they had travelled to Wamunyu, Mwala in Machakos.
Both parents decided to visit them at their home to check on them but the door was locked from inside where they broke down the door.
Pius Wambua, their neighbour said the couple was spoted in the morning and none of them seemed to have issues but the room went silent as from lunch time only to be found dead.
Police moved the bodies to Kangundo Hospital Mortuary as investigations commence.
Matungulu sub county police commander Wilmot Mwakio confirmed the incident.
This comes hardly after 6 months when another couple was found dead in Nguluni location where the man had first killed his lover then committed suicide a stone throw away and according to the residents the cases of suicide are on the increase.
