Kenya records 104 new cases of Covid-19, totaling to 4,478

All the new cases are from Kenyans.

In Summary

• TNairobi continues to lead with the number of cases, recording 60 from 104 cases.

• Aman said 36 more people have been discharged from various hospitals in the country, adding the total number of discharges to 1,586.

The country has recorded another 104 coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours from 2,820 samples collected.

Health CAS Rashid Aman said the country has tested 136,361 samples since the outbreak was reported.

Out of the new cases, 76 are males while 28 are females and the youngest is one year old while the oldest is 76.

 
 

Nairobi continues to lead with the number of cases, recording 60 from 104 cases.

Mombasa had 33 cases, Kilifi 5, Busia 3, Kajiado 2 and Taita Taveta had one case.

In Nairobi, the 60 cases are distributed as follows: Langata 22, Kibra 19, Westland 11, Starehe 3, Dagoretti North 2, Embakasi South, Embakasi East and Kasarani one each.

Aman said 36 more people have been discharged from various hospitals in the country, adding the total number of discharges to 1,586.

Two more patients succumbed to the virus, bringing the number fatalities to 121.

Aman has asked Kenyans to continue observing the measures issued by the government in order to reduce the spread of the virus.

Healthcare workers who are at the frontline in fighting the virus have been applauded for their effort.

On Friday, the country had 117 cases where one was a foreigner.
