Curfew extended for 21 days

The 7pm-5am curfew currently in place will continue for a further 21 days.

President Uhuru Kenyatta has announced the extension of the curfew as a measure to ensure the spread of coronavirus is put on check.

The curfew started on March 27 and has been in force since.

"I am encouraged by the progress but we are yet to be victorious," Uhuru said.

The cessation movement in and out of Nairobi metropolitan area, Kilifi and Mombasa counties has also been extended for 21 days.
