The house marked as crime scene is a few metres behind the station.

Oloo had been cohabiting with Kerubo for a one year.

Neighbours who spoke to the Star said that Oloo had suspected that Kerubo was dating another man.

Two weeks ago, he allegedly went to confront the man and was beaten.

"When he came back on Wednesday night, he found Kerubo with the same man at their house. When he tried to confront the man, he called his back up and beat him," the witness who sought anonymity said.

According to the landlord Moses Ochieng, he was informed of the incident by a neighbour before he rushed to the scene and found Oloo lying in a pool of blood.

"In the house I found the officer Inspector Kerubo, her daughter, the house help and Victor who is also the main suspect," Ochieng said.

He said he instructed the officer to report the incident to police station but the officer refused to do so, so he took it upon himself and reported the incident to Ugunja police station.

The family members led by Oloo's mother Kezia Oloo are now demanding justice.

They alleged the officer has been threatening their son and that the two had separated.

Oloo's body was moved to Ambira Hospital mortuary.

Oloo leaves behind a daughter and a wife.
