The President's agenda has been very clear that we focus on the big four agenda that seek to transform this country.
Politicking on a daily basis is not part of the President's agenda. If, as Kenyans and politicians, we worked together with little politics, but more focus on the President's ambitious plans, we shall have helped in setting this country on the path to prosperity.
Irrespective of where we come from, whether from Mt Kenya, Nyanza or at the Coast, we must realise that Kenyans want service delivery.
Kenyans want better roads, equipped and affordable hospitals and peace to be able to go about their businesses without having to worry about their tomorrow.
This is what the President has been emphasising all along. It is because of the President's desire for a peaceful country that provides an enabling environment for manufacturing, affordable housing, food security, universal health-care, that he reached out to the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga through the handshake.
The handshake has created wonders for this country and it is my prayer that nobody should either abuse it or ridicule its impact.
A good example of how the handshake worked very well was how political opponents were able to interact peacefully during the Kibra campaigns without any hindrance.
Those who tried to sabotage the handshake in Kibra were embarrassed and taught a bitter lesson.
As a region, Mt Kenya is firmly behind the President's plan for this country including being very supportive to enable him to achieve his legacy. The region has not produced any other kingpin to rival the President.
All politicians from the region must realise the need to stand with the President in order to achieve his dream projects.
Unnecessary politicking by people who are trying to sabotage the President's agenda does not help and must be condemned.
It is high time that everybody, from us politicians and other public officers, gave our total commitment to helping the President achieve the legacy projects that he is so passionate about. If we work together and walk together along the path the President and the right honourable Raila Odinga have shown us, we shall secure the President's legacy.
