Counting of votes for the Kibra by-election got underway at around 5.30pm on Thursday.

This was after voting closed at 5pm. Those in line were allowed to vote past 5pm.

Residents were seen trying to make way to their various destinations as traffic built following the activity earlier in the day.

Kibra has five wards – Laini Saba, Sarang’ombe, Woodley-Kenyatta Golf Course, Makina and Lindi.
