Cohen murder case: Peter Karanja released on Sh2m cash bail

Karanja has also been ordered not to go anywhere near Cohen's home.

Businessman Peter Karanja has been released on a Sh4 million bond or an alternative cash bail of Sh 2million.

Karanja was accused of killing Dutch businessman Tob Cohen.

Making the ruling on Tuesday, Judge Daniel Ogembo ordered Karanja not to go anywhere near Cohen's home.

Ogembo has also warned him not to contact any prosecution witnesses in the matter.

He has also been required to deposit his passport in court.

The case will be mentioned on November 12 alongside the other suspect Sarah Wairimu's case for consolidation.
