Four buried alive after landslide in Elgeyo Marakwet

Four family members have been buried alive  following landslides in Elgeyo Marakwet county.

The landslide was caused by the ongoing heavy rains in the Kapkonder village in Marakwet East early Friday.

Witnesses said a father, his wife and his two children were buried alive by the debris in their house.

Kenya Red Cross, Police and disaster management staff from Elgeyo Marakwet county have been deployed in the area to help retrieve the bodies.
