Televangelist Pastor James Ng'ang'a has lashed out at the media for reporting on his frequent woes.

Hours after being released  from Central police station on Friday, the pastor fired a warning shot.

“Unadanganya watu eti Ng’ang’a amefungwa, chunga akili yako, kama huta chunga, I promise you the same again,” Ng'ang'a said.

This loosely translates to, "You are lying to people that Ng'ang'a has been locked up. Be careful. If you're not, I promise you the same again..."

A businessman has accused the televangelist of defrauding him of Sh3.6 million.

In a video which went gone viral, Ng’ang’a also mentioned the government and wondered why it was allowing the media to report on him.

Last month, Ng'ang' mad a video in which he threatened Citizen TV journalist Linus Kaikai for suggesting churches should be regulated.

He was later picked from his church at the junction of Haile Sellasie Avenue and Uhuru Highway and locked up at Muthaiga police station.

He spent the night in police cells.

Kaikai had complained he felt threatened.

Ng'ang'a  was charged with threatening to kill Kaikai, incitement to violence and disobedience of the law.

The Media Council of Kenya warned religious leaders against threatening journalists and media houses.
