Deputy President William Ruto now says those planning to impeach him will fail terribly.
While accusing Opposition for using the handshake to undermine other leaders, Ruto on Saturday said that was an evil plot that will not see the light.

Ruto was speaking in Kakamega when he launched the Dairy animals program a product of One Acre Fund Non-Governmental Organization based in Kakamega said Kenyans want leaders who can unite them rather than those who divide them on ethnic and tribal lines.
"Your evil plot will fail. Instead of them wanting to impeach me let them fine-tune their approach to politics to be in harmony with the needs of the country," he said.
Ruto added, "They must shun stale politics that is hinged on tribalism, hatred and division and, instead, focus on issues that will transform the lives of Kenyans".
Siaya senator James Orengo last week said he would engineer a motion in the Senate to impeach Ruto over what he termed as gross misconduct.
But Ruto said castigating the move said the politics of witch-hunting and blackmail is a thing of the past that should never be entertained at this time and age.
“We have allowed our Brothers from the other side to work with us but they should not imagine that we are foolish, they ask us to work together and on the other hand they plot against us," Ruto said.
"We are very alert. Sisi ni watu tuko na radar my friends, we understand these things and don’t imagine that you can deceive us. We have a shortage of idiots and fools in Jubilee.” Ruto reiterated
The DP warned the opposition leader and his followers that their plot to divide and disorganize the Jubilee party will never succeed adding that they were mistaken day dreamers.
Ruto was flanked by Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu, Lurambi MP Bishop Titus Khamala, Ikolomani's Benard Shinali and Navakholo's Emmanuel Wangwe.
Others were Dan Wanyama, former Sports CS Rashid Echesa and Former Kakamega senator Boni Khalwale.
Ruto's sentiments came shortly after Senator Cleophas Malala hit back at him saying no matter how many times he frequented the region, he will get no vote for his 2022 presidential bid.
Malala said Ruto's many visits in the region was nothing but a mission aimed at confusing the Luhya community.
