On behalf of all Kenyans, I send holiday greetings to our Muslim brothers and sisters as they celebrate Eid ul-Adha.

Muslims celebrate Eid ul-Adha to reflect on Prophet Abraham’s unwavering obedience when he was asked to sacrifice his son.

During this holiday, Muslims celebrate with family and friends while also extending a helping hand to the needy in our midst to show gratitude for life’s blessings.

As Kenyans, Eid ul-Adha gives us a unique opportunity to reflect on the strength we draw as a nation from our cultural and religious diversity.

I wish to express my appreciation of the role that the Islamic faith and culture continues to play in shaping Kenya's distinctive character as a harmonious and caring society.

As Muslim faithfuls across the nation embark on the solemn festivities, I congratulate each one of them on behalf of the people of Kenya and wish all Eid Mubarak. May Allah accept your sacrifices.
