Police have arrested two more suspects linked to the Safaricom SIM swap fraud.

Douglas Kiplimo and Linda Najoli, both employees of the telecommunications giant, were apprehended in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu county, on Wednesday afternoon.

Detectives say they are wanted by the DCI in Molo, Kitale and Garsen.

Police arrested a Safaricom employee and JKUAT student over the fraud on Friday last weel.

Maurice Musoti and Rian Obaga - a fourth year engineering student, are believed to be part of the group of fraudsters who have conned Kenyans out of millions of shillings in prank calls.

In a tweet on Saturday, the DCI said officers recovered an Apple laptop, 2,160 unused Safaricom SIM cards, 44 used ones and five Agent till numbers.

The two were also found with three M-Pesa record books, a router and two mobile phones - a Blackberry and a Samsung J7.

Safaricom warned subscribers about fraudsters who steal cash from their M-Pesa accounts by swapping SIM cards.

Dozens of people have complained about being conned this way, a situation the telco said can be avoided if PIN numbers are kept secret.

"We would like to remind our customers to safeguard information such as SIM and M-Pesa PINs, dates of birth and national ID numbers,” Nicholas Mulila, director for risk management, said in a statement.
