Budalangi MP Raphael Wanjala arrested for allegedly attacking Ababu

Budalangi MP Raphael Wanjala has been arrested by CID officers at a Kisumu hotel.

He is accused of attacking foreign affairs chief administrative secretary Ababu Namwamba and officials from the Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KERRA) and the Kenya National Highways authority (KENHA) at Thigiri Bridge, Budalangi on April 13.

It's alleged that the MP threw stones at the aircraft they were travelling in when he found out that he was not invited to attend the inspection and official opening of Sigiri Bridge.

The officers arrested him at Whirlprings hotel

while clearing his bill.

He has been booked at Kisumu Central Police Station and is currently

being transferred to Kakamega.
