One of the officers who took part in the operation said the

gang of four was dressed in police uniform and had blocked a trailer that was ferrying the gas from Nairobi to Western.

He said the

two suspects hailed from Kiambu and had followed the trailer from Nairobi.

"During the commotion, a passing motorists saw the attack and informed police who moved in and arrested two suspects," the officer said.

Naivasha sub-county commissioner Isaac Masinde said the suspects, who are still in custody, are assisting police in the investigations.

Masinde said the search for the other two suspects is ongoing.

"We have managed to recover a pistol, eight rounds of ammunition and the gateway car and it’s a matter of time before we catch up with the two suspects who fled," he said.
