Two men have been sentenced to life imprisonment or a fine of Sh20 million each for possessing wildlife trophy.
The two, George Njeru and Abdi

Ibrahim appeared before Kyuso resident magistrate John Aringo on Thursday.

They were found guilty of possessing 130 Kgs of ivory estimated at Sh12 million.

were arrested on April 20, 2017, at Usueni location of Tseikuru sub-county in Kitui County.

In July 2016, a

Mombasa court sentenced Ivory Kingpin

to 20 years in jail after he was found guilty of possessing ivory worth Sh44 million.

He was also fined Sh20 million.

Mohammed was arrested by Interpol agents in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania in December 2014.
