Richard Omwela has retained his position as the chairman of the Kenya Rugby Union during the federation’s AGM in Nairobi.Omwela garnered 25 votes, while his opponent Sasha Mutai was hot on his heels with 23.Pepe Sembi came a distant third with nine votes. In the race for the director's slots, Sylvia Kamau bagged 46 votes as Ian Mugambi got re-elected in his directorship position with 38.

Richard Omwela has retained his position as the chairman of the Kenya Rugby Union during the federation’s AGM in Nairobi.

Omwela garnered 25 votes, while his opponent Sasha Mutai was hot on his heels with 23.Pepe Sembi came a distant third with nine votes.

In the race for the director's slots, Sylvia Kamau bagged 46 votes as Ian Mugambi got re-elected in his directorship position with 38.

Kabras Sugar RFC chairman Ray Olendo was third with 37 votes and Ezekiel Awuor is the fourth director with 33.

Oscar Mango who was the director in charge of squads fell by the wayside after bagging a paltry 23 votes.
